News of the day – PART 2
Finally finally finally! Live Nation Global Touring and Big Concerts have confirmed something the whole of South Africa already seemed to know: U2 will include South Africa in their 360° Tour in 2011! It will be first time in 13 years as the last time U2 performed in the Rainbow Nation was during their 1998 PopMart Tour.
It is said that U2 will give two concerts in South Africa: one in Johannesburg (February 13, 2011 / FNB Stadium) and one concert in Cape Town (February 18, 2011 / Cape Town Stadium). By the time the tour reaches South Africa next year, 360° will have been seen by over 4.5 million U2 fans around the world. Rumour has it that more concerts will take place in South Africa. That is however a rumour.
Tickets for both concerts will start at R161. The price for General Admission floor tickets start at R401 Reserved seat tickets are also available, starting at R428 in Cape Town and R696 in Johannesburg.
Last but not least: ticket sales for the two U2 concerts will start on October 23 through Computicket.
